The more exciting bits of the relatively boring life of a med student/soon-to-be doctor and various other ramblings
An Interview With Deluminators
A fun fact
According to multiple sources, I sometimes snore so loudly that I can be heard from the next room.
Your fool-proof recipes
I can make the perfect bowl of instant ramen, and my scrambled eggs on toast turn out pretty well.
In your handbag
In my fun handbag: wallet, keys, phone, camera, Kindle.
In my med student/doctor bag: stethoscope, ID, coffee money, lots of pens (black ink, clicky), paper, sneaky muesli bar.
Your most ‘grown up’ advice
Life is a lot easier to get through if you can learn to laugh at yourself.
On your bookshelf
I’m currently reading By Gaslight by Steven Price which I’m not sure I’m enjoying, despite the whole detective in London theme which is my crack. Recent books I’ve really loved are Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil by Melina Marchetta and Fight Like a Girl by Clementine Ford.
Your go-to dating story
I’ve been on one whole date in my life which was relatively unremarkable. I did get stood up the first time I tried to meet up with someone via online dating, so that’s formed my impression of dating in general.
The best kind of weather
If I have to be outside: cold and sunny.
If I get to stay at home: cold, rainy, windy.
Your go-to hot beverage
A flat white (a proper Australian one).
Your favourite quote
“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.” – J.K. Rowling
Sour Cherry – The Kills
Doc Martens 1461s!
A mini travel guide: Three home town must-visits
Sydney Harbour on a sunny day.
The beach when the temperature is between 24-30C (any hotter is way too hot).
Any kind of art event that’s on – Vivid, Sculpture by the Sea, the Biennale, BEAMS, etc.
The reason you blog
For fun. And possibly a pathological need to overshare with strangers on the internet.
Your blog in a sentence
The more exciting bits of the relatively boring life of a med student/soon-to-be doctor and various other ramblings.
A hand-picked post for new readers to start with
An old-ish post but a good overview of what I post about, especially now that summer is coming up here.
